Gussied Up Photo Frame

Hey there everyone! Today was my day off, so I baked some cookies and watched some t.v. and redid this nifty little picture frame!

Now this frame is SUPER cheap, as in it doesn't even have a stand on the back to prop the frame up. Before this little redo it was sort a lovely muddy brown with a gold stripe around the edges. Tell me about it- super fashionable. Nothing a little paint and glitter can't fix!

A little coat of white paint, some Mod Podge and some glitter and soooo much better! :) I have more than a few picture frames around the apartment that are... less than pretty. To say the least. Maybe it's time for a makeover for all!

Anywho, tomorrow I'll be working in the morning, but in the evening time I'll be making another batch of cookies for that charity bake sale I mentioned last week, so check back for a baking post! Colored Glass Coolness!

Howdy lovelies! Happy Saturday! Guess who gets to spend another Saturday at work? *Gestures to self* This girl! Color me all kinds of excited. I'm hoping you guys have better plans than I do this weekend. Honestly, one of these days I'm going to take an ENTIRE weekend off and just...do nothing. Just kidding! I will take the weekend off sometime soon and just do WHATEVER I WANT. :)

Anywho, as soon as I got home from work, I popped my glass jars into the oven. And wow!

I love it! They look super gorgeous. Now, for sure, the color definitely changed from the way it looked when it was freshly poured into the jar, but soooo pretty. I already have another batch in the works for tomorrow.

I killed off an entire bottle of Mod Podge and I'm running out of glass containers, so until I get that figured out I'll have to come up with some other projects! What do you guys think, any ideas? I'm on Pinterest so I always see nifty things on there, but oftentimes you have to scroll through tons of  pins until you find something you actually want to do. So send some ideas my way! And I'm also making some goodies for a charity bake sale through work this week, so stay tuned for an old family recipe! :)

Glitter Is My Drug

Hi you guys! Say 'holla!' if you're ready for the weekend! Just kidding, because, as we all know, I work all weekend! :) But feel free to enjoy some weekend for me while I'm making bank.

Today was my day off so- hooray!- I did some stuff! The first was to celebrate my little brother's second birthday. Happy birthday Tubs! The second was to craft away! I got some glass jars from my mother earlier this week so I've kind of been on a little glass/glitter/paint spree. Sharing time!

THERE IS GLITTER EVERYWHERE. And I love it! :) I love the idea of putting candles in there! The next thing I wanted to try was this tutorial for making your own colored glass.

We're at the letting the glass dry overnight step. I'll stick them in the oven tomorrow night after work and let them do their thing. We'll see how it turns out!

I know I talked about that denim jacket I've been altering, but now that it's almost done I'm not sure how I'm feeling about it. I'll let you know what I decide to do and I'll show you how my jars turn out- whether it's good or bad! What are you guys up to this weekend? Any fun plans or projects?
