The Love of God

I know I've read these verses before-lots of times-but last night it struck me-hard-anyway.

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities,
nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38-39

Just thought the sheer awesomeness of those verses had to be shared. ☺

Devotions

1 Samuel 2:2
There is none holy as the Lord; for there is none beside thee; neither is there any rock like our God.

SO this verse was in the chapter I was reading over in 1 Samuel the other night, and I thought I would share it.

You probably know this part of 1 Samuel, talking about Hannah and her not being able to have children and praying to the Lord for Him to give her a son. So God has just given Hannah a baby boy, who she named Samuel, which means 'Asked of God'. Hannah then promises to "lend him to the Lord" to be a priest and a help to Eli in the temple..and so the book goes on. But I just wanted to share that verse, it really jumped out at me and was a huge encouragement. : )

That's all. ☺

Devotions

So last night I was reading in Ruth, just the first chapter. As I said before (or at least i think i did) I'm reading my way through the old testament. And you know--the stories of Ruth and Esther are sort of beat up by the world of christian women, because, well--they're the only two books about WOMEN. But when you read it for yourself it sort of sheds a whole new light on their stories. : )

Just thought I would share that.

And I should also share how freaked out I am about accompanying the Johnson/Franklin family next week..... : 0
scary......

Honesty

SO let's just be honest here...
It's been kind of rough lately trying to be consistent in my devotions--like really, REALLY hard.
AND ALSO to be honest, the old testament can be kind of dull... lately though, I've been reading about all these wars and I just got through reading the Samson and Delilah story....that was interesting. : )

But I could use some prayer here!
